Bulgarian all-time star football player, Hristo Stoichkov, plans to invest EUR 1 M in Formula 1 for his future son-in-law, Spanish G2 racer, Dani Clos.

The news was reported Sunday by the Bulgarian daily 24 Chasa (24 Hours), quoting members of the family.

Clos and Stoichkov's daughter Mihaela have been dating for some time now, and, allegedly, marriage is in the works.

The football player is lobbying with his friends to also invest for the Spaniard's spot in Formula 1 for the next season. The minimum amount needed is about EUR 5 M.

Dani is one of Spain's best GP2 pilots and the country's biggest racing hope for stardom. This is his second season in GP2. Stoichkov is known as a huge Formula 1 fan, attending many of the races.

Dani's biggest chances are said to be some of the newest Formula 1 teams such as "Virgin."

The first Formula 1 race from this year's season is on March 27th in Melbourne after the uprisings in Bahrain forced schedule changes.
