New Bulgarian TV Series to Air in March

Popular Bulgarian actors have begun filming the new Bulgarian TV series, "Stolichani v poveche" ("Sofianites Too Much"), which is expected to air in March.

The series is a joint production of the Bulgarian private TV channel bTV and the company "Dream Team Productions". It will combine elements of drama and comedy and will tell the stories of two neighboring and competitive families, living in Sofia.

Some of the actors are Stoyanka Mutafova, Lyubo Neykov, Hristo Garbov, Silviya Lulcheva, Krastyo Lafazanov and Violeta Markovska.

"I believe that the new extremely ambitious project "Stolichani v poveche" will strengthen  the trust of the audience in the quality of Bulgarian productions, in the talent of Bulgarian actors, and in the skills of Bulgarian producers to tell purely Bulgarian stories, without falling behind the world cinema quality," said Vicky Politova, CEO of bTV Media Group.

The Dream Team Productions crew includes Evtim Miloshev as producer, Ivan Spasov as creative producer, and Emil Markov as screenwriter. Viktor Bozhinov and Aleksandar Kosev are directors, while Nenad Boroevich and Anton Ognyanov are cameramen.

The total number of crew member for the production of the new TV series from bTV and dream Team Productions is over 100.

"Stolichani v poveche" is expected to air its pilot episode in March.

The latest Bulgarian TV series, "Staklen Dom" (The Glass House), were deemed the most successful Bulgarian-made ones so far. It has also stirred huge interest abroad and was sold to a Turkish TV channel.
