The cold weather in Bulgaria has claimed one victim, the Bulgarian Focus News Agency has reported.

The agency cites the doctor from the Bulgarian Pirogov hospital, Ognyan Hadzhiyski, who has stated that 10 people have been hospitalized during the holidays.

In his words, the man who died on Sunday has been hospitalized with 20 degrees Celsius body temperature and has been in conditions, which was not able to improve.

Earlier, the hospital stated that seven people have been accepted because of freezing.

“The condition of the hospitalized patients depends on how much the body temperature had dropped. It also depends on where are they hospitalized and who is treating them,” Hadzhiyski said.
