Bulgaria’s striker Valeri Bojinov scored the only goal for Parma over Sampdoria at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Thursday, ESPN has announced.

Bojinov’s goal in the 84th minute sealed the game, which was played in difficult conditions with a fog making it hard to see from one end to the other.

Christian Zaccardo played a reverse pass form the edge of the area into the path of Bojinov, who ran on to the ball in the box and blasted his shot home to make the result 1-0.

The victory was the team’s first Serie A win since August 29. They gained three points, which lifted pressure from their coach Pasquale Marino who kept his job.
