Crisis Obliterates Bulgarian Millionaires

The number of Bulgarians receiving annual income of over BGN 1 M has dropped threefold as a result of the economic crisis.
Only 28 people in Bulgaria said they received more than BGN 1 M when filing their tax forms for 2009, the National Revenue Agency announced.
In comparison, a total of 87 Bulgarians declared income of over BGN 1 M in 2008.
The National Revenue Agency has reminded that April 30, 2010, is the final date for filing tax returns for 2009.
