Greek farmers lifted their blockade of the Kulata-Promahon crossing point at 02:00 Tuesday on the Bulgaria-Greece border after Bulgaria Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov held talks with the local Greek governor.

Naydenov met with the governor of Serres late Monday to complain that the conditions for Bulgarian truck drivers stuck at the blockade were inhuman in such cold temperatures.

At 22:00 there were still over 350 trucks stuck at the Kulata crossing point but after the crossing was opened at 02:00 all of the drivers were allowed through.

Naydenov added that the lifting of the blockade is only temporary and may be re-started Tuesday afternoon. He also concluded that Bulgarians should avoid traveling to Greece as the situation between the government and farmers is worsening which could lead to internal blockades as well as more border blockades
