Bulgaria's Top Sitcom Makes Comeback 10 Years Later

The most successful Bulgarian sitcom entitled “Third-Floor Clinic” is making a comeback ten years after its first season was shown in 2000.

The first two episodes of the second season of “Third-Floor Clinic” will be shown on the state-owned BNT 1 channel on January 5, 2010, at 9:20 pm.

The first season of the most famous Bulgarian sitcom aired on the BNT 1 in 2000 with 22 episodes.

The sitcoms tells the story of a small private medical clinic consisting of a gynecologist, a surgeon, and psychiatrist, and their nurse/receptionist who get into various funny situations while treating their patients. They are played by popular Bulgarian actors, respectively, Alexander Kosev, Hristo Mutafchiev, Stefania Koleva, and Reni Vrangova. The sitcom is directed by Nikolay Akimov, who is also the author of the script.

In the second season of “Third-Floor Clinic” the main characters decide to rent a new, much larger premise in a new building for their clinic which generates lots of new funny situations.
