Bulgaria's right-wing Blue Coalition demanded Wednesday that President, Georgi Parvanov, immediately makes public his reasons to pardon the leader of the Euroma Union, Tsvetelin Kanchev.

The leader of the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (UDF) and co-Chair of the Blue Coalition, Ivan Kostov, took the stand in parliamentary hall Wednesday and requested Parvnov's public apology about the blackmail and extortion crimes perpetrated by Kanchev, whom the President pardoned a few years back.

The Blue Coalition parliamentary group asked Parvanov to come in person to the Parliament and take responsibility about turning Bulgaria's Presidential Institution into a protector of organized crime.

Tsvetelin Kanchev was arrested late Tuesday and is officially charged with extortion.
