Sofia Mayor Election Campaign Kicks off October 20

The campaign for the Sofia Mayor elections is going to start on October 20, 2009.

This has been announced by the Chair of the Municipal Electoral Commission, Diana Zulcheva.

All parties and coalitions wishing to participate in the elections are supposed to have completed their registration by October 15, 2009.

The partial local elections in Sofia are taking place at the beginning of November as previous Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov became Prime Minister in July 2009.
