Rescue teams from Bulgaria's Civil Defense are searching the Black Sea waters for the bodies of three drowning victims.

The incidents happened Monday in the southern resort of Sinemorets, in the Black Sea capital Varna and the northern resort of Kranevo.

The Sinemorets fatality is a 56-year-old man from Sofia while the Kranevo one is a young man, also a Bulgarian.

A Polish citizen disappeared in the waters near Varna, after going to swim in an unguarded area. Ignoring the sign, the man and his two teenage children, reportedly, went into the waters. People in the area noticed that the three were drowning and began calling for help. The lifeguards and the ambulance arrived immediately and were able to save the children; the father however drowned. The mother has been nearby, but had not attempted to swim.

The Civil Defense and the lifeguards have issued numerous warnings since August 15 that swimming is extremely dangerous and will remain such until the end of August over a deadly rip current. Swimming has been banned all over the Black Sea coast in the last few days.

Only in Varna six people total had become victims of the sea this beach season.
