OSCE Observes Bulgaria's 2009 Parliamentary Elections

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has been registered as an observer of Bulgaria's 2009 Parliamentary Elections scheduled for July 5.

The news has been announced by Biser Troyanov, Spokesperson of Bulgaria's Central Electoral Commission (CEC), who also said that CEC had already met with OSCE representatives to discuss their work.

Apart from the actual elections, OSCE is also going to observe the activity of the individual political parties as well as the CEC trainings for the regional electoral commissions.

Troyanov has also said five Bulgarian civic organizations had been registered as observers for the coming elections.
